Every now and then he will venture down in the cavern and find himself a Giant Olm to wrestle/strangle with. Today while experimenting I learned there is a way to make your useless monster hunters petition for citizenship. You just have to kill them and resurrect them as an intelligent undead. They'll come back as a normal resident.
